Seyed Anwar Rashidi, the mayor of Sanandaj, is accused of complicity in suppression of the people of Sanandaj

According to Hana’s investigations, Seyed Anwar Rashidi, the mayor of Sanandaj, is accused of complicity in the massacre and suppression of the people of Sanandaj during the Women, Life, Freedom movement, especially in October and November 2022. He allowed the use of municipal logistics by military and security forces to suppress the protesters and was largely responsible for the accommodation and feeding of the additional forces sent to Sanandaj. Based on available evidence, he must be subject to international prosecution for facilitating and aiding in the massacre of protesters.
