According to reports received by Hana Human Rights Organization, on Thursday, February 20, 2025, Qane Khateri, a civil activist from Sanandaj, was released from the city’s prison after posting bail of 500 million tomans. Khatari had been arrested by security forces on Tuesday, February 5, 2025, without a judicial warrant.
Additionally, on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, Hirsh Navgaran Zadeh, a resident of Sanandaj, was also released on bail. He had been arrested on Monday, January 20, 2025, by Intelligence Department forces at his workplace in Sanandaj, without judicial authorization. He was initially transferred to the Intelligence detention center before being moved to prison.
Hirsh Navgaran Zadeh, 39, married and a father of one, is a former political prisoner. In 2007, he was sentenced to one year in prison for being a member of the Komala Party of Iranian Kurdistan.
