According to reports received by the Hana Human Rights Organization: On Sunday, December 15, 2024, at least 11 Kurdish citizens from Mahabad were arrested by security forces.
The identities of these citizens, as confirmed by the Hana Human Rights Organization, are: Zaniar Seyed Ahmadi, Osman (Showaneh) Jahani Far, Ayoub Rasouli, Qader Kharamanfar, Siamand Seyed Ahmadi, Kamal Masoudi, Jalal Sadafi, Yousef Qal, Aram Mabzoleh, Rahman Dana, and Rebowar Rasouli, all residents of Mahabad.
According to Hana’s sources, these individuals were arbitrarily arrested without a judicial warrant at their family homes by security forces.
The sources further stated that after their arrest, they were transferred to a security detention center in Urmia for interrogation.
