The lack of proper oversight by authorities over work methods and the safety conditions of workers, as well as the irresponsibility of employers, are among the primary reasons for the lack of workplace safety in Iran. This situation has led Iran to rank 102nd in the world for workplace safety, making it a very unsafe country for workers. Despite the current conditions for workers, anti-worker laws and the support of authorities for employers have resulted in workers having no right to protest against the lack of workplace safety.
