According to information received by the Hana Human Rights Organization, in the early hours of Tuesday, October 20, 2026, Ahad Mihankhah, a resident of Oshnavieh County, was arrested by security forces and transferred to Naqadeh Central Prison to begin serving his five-year prison sentence.
It should be noted that Mihankhah was previously arrested on January 24, 2026, on charges of membership in and cooperation with one of the Kurdish opposition parties in Iranian Kurdistan. He was subsequently released temporarily on bail and later sentenced to five years in prison.
